Maverine's Reaction: Rhythm, County and Blues

Marla's best friend Maverine talks about the 1994 album Rhythm Country and Blues, in which the VHS was played. First, the song "The Weight" by Marty Stuart and the Staple Singers (Mavis, Pops, Yvonne and Cleotha) was synonymous. Marty's former bass player had a slight cameo, but uncredited. Marty sings the first verse, Mavis in second, Pops in third, omit "Chester," and Marty sang the "Cannonball" verse. The Staples sang the same song from their first Stax album "Soul Folk in Action," and in 1977, they paired with The Band from the Last Waltz movie. Pops died in 2000, Cleotha in 2013 and Yvonne in 2018. Next, "Since I Fell For You" was recorded separately by Reba McEntire and Natalie Cole. Marty in Selena Deleted Scenes

Marla's first husband Marty Reeves played as Suzette and AB Quintanilla's music instructor in the movie called Selena. He teach Suzette to play drums. As their dad Abraham teach his daughter Selena to sing in Spanish, Suzette told Selena to get back outside, but Abraham said, "Wait, Selena, you haven't finished yet." A knock on the door, it was the same instructor. He told Abraham that the restaurant Papa Gayo's needs to be closed down because of economics.

Flashback: June 2018

On June 4, 2018, Marla turned 60 as Dwight Clark passed away of ALS. Eight days later, her other friend Keith Fahnhorst passed away. Marla was shocking about the loss of her friends. Twin Cities newspaper staff wrote about Keith's funeral, it went like this: Among those in attendance at Our Lady of Grace in Edina on Thursday for the funeral of Keith Fahnhorst was Pro Football Hall of Fame QB Joe Montana, who was a San Francisco 49ers two-time Super Bowl champion teammate of the former Gophers star. Another 49ers teammate, linebacker Keena Turner, gave a moving eulogy for Fahnhorst, the former All-Big Ten tight end who became a Pro Bowl offensive tackle and died at age 66. Turner said nobody on the 49ers was more respected and beloved than Fahnhorst. Happy 42nd birthday to Christen Lindner Walter, Kyle Jr.'s wife. She lost her twin son L.D. of a car wreck with his twin cousins on May 15. His twin brother Trey had survived from the wreck.

Marla Profiled on Maverine's "Tour Bus"

Marla was profiled on "Maverine Michael's Tales From the Tour Bus" which was aired yesterday evening on Cinemax. Marla's three untold stories has made. First, her private affair with Mick Tingelhoff was very close, but his wife Phyllis believes she's jealous. Her private affair with Ralph Neely was still close, and last but not least was at the Nashville tour 1983 in which Doug Atkins was more loveable while she is wearing the Pat Donovan jersey. Marla tries to divorce many times until her husband Marty's passing.

Marla's Two Movies Will Be In Theaters In 2023

The two movies in which Marla appears will be in theaters in 2023. I Shall Be Released: The Band's Story will be on July 7, 2023, two days after Robbie Robertson's 80th birthday. Marla played as Rick Danko's mom Leola. Christian Prchal as Rick, Kyle Walton as Robbie, Jacob Cole as Richard Manuel, Ben Gray as Levon Helm, and Brian Scott May as Garth Hudson. The another is "The Four Westerners" will be on Apr. 14, 2023. It features all four MMQ men, and Marla played the mother of Bruce Bellamy.

Marla to Bio Documentary of New Series

The "Tales from the Tour Bus" has been revived without Mike Judge. It's now called "Maverine Michael's Tales from the Tour Bus." Maverine said she will have eight episodes in season 1 for country. The stars were Alabama, Brooks & Dunn, Merle Haggard, Conway Twitty, Mel Street, Johnny Cash, Johnny Rodriguez and Marla Medders & MMQ. This show will aired on September 16 to kick off with Marla, then Johnny Cash, Conway, Mel, Merle, Johnny Rodriguez, Brooks & Dunn and Alabama.

Marla's Sister In Law Dies

Marla's sister-in-law Ingrid Medley Medders has died of a heart attack after drinking a scotch yesterday evening at age 71, according to her son Rodney. The last time she has connected with Shaquem Griffin was on Aug. 24 when he retired. In July, Ingrid lost her godson Teren. On the death of Guy Morriss, Ingrid had a brief relationship with him in 1986. Ingrid tries to divorced her husband Chuck (Marla's brother), but reconciled after Guy had his last wife. Ingrid was married to Chuck for 45 years until his passing in 2014. She lost her only daughter Crystle of a heart failure in 2020, and was survived by four sons, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Marla on Iowa State Guys

Marla only met three Iowa State college men that ran 10 long years with one team. At the new Texas stadium on Oct. 24, 1971, Marla met Don Webb, who is in his last year with the Patriots, and this is the only time they talk about Duane Thomas' trade. Thirteen months later on Nov. 5, 1972, Marla met Joe Beauchamp, and this is the only time they talk. Marla also talked to coach Harland Svare about sharing a birthday and same birthplace as Larry Cole. Beauchamp died in 2020. In October 1974, Marla met Matt Blair as Maverine was grounded for not seeing Carl Eller for two years. Maverine has a sign that said whites only at the hotel room. The next morning while making breakfast, Matt had his camera and takes a picture of Marla eating bacon and eggs. One day before Marla's daughter's first birthday, she last saw him while meeting with Maverine. Matt was also a photographer at Marla's concert two days before. Matt died months after Beauchamp.

Happy Birthday Natalee

Happy 38th birthday to Natalee Reeves Boone, Marla's daughter. Natalee is also the mother of Brooks Jennings Boone, who was born on Jan. 24 of this year.

Marla on Iowa College Guys

Although Marla was born in Ames, Iowa after her six brothers were born in that same state. Some legendary Iowa guys are everywhere. First, Marla met Emlen Tunnell in 1973 for a concert with her brothers, and he died two years later. His 79 interceptions may stay put until 1979. In 1977, Marla was at the concert in Wisconsin as Joe Laws and his wife Geraldine saw her. They briefly talked for 10 minutes. Joe died in 1979. A day after Christmas 1970, Marla met Alex Karras in his very last game as the Lions lost to the Cowboys 0-5. Marla said it's the worst record ever had. In 1978, Marla reunited with Alex in Aspen, Colorado at her concert as his Lions teammate Jim Gibbons saw them as well. Alex died in 2012, and Jim died four years later. In October 1970, Marla usually met Paul Krause and Wally Hilgenberg for a meeting before attending a game. Happy 8th birthday to Hal Walter, Jody's second son. He was born a day after Marla's first husband Marty Reeves' death with his brother Roger.

Flashback: April 2019

Marla and Kyle were in Alpharetta, Georgia for Randy Cross' birthday. They had their home, but sold in July 2021. Two of the Vikings players' sons Blair Krause and Rob Alderman were supporting Randy, his wife Patrice, Kyle and Marla. The boys' wives Tricia and Kerri were on hand. Blair's dad is Paul, and Rob's dad is Grady, who died a year before. Kerri is originally from Spalding, Nebraska.

Season 1, Episode 15: Marla and Maverine in Canton

This is the final episode of the season of "Meet the Walters." Marla and Maverine went to Canton, Ohio for enshrinement. Marla confirms about a friend named Buddy Arrington, who passed away a week after his birthday. Marla reunited with Bryant Young, who lost his son of cancer at age 15. Maverine and Marla sees the mask player, it belongs to Kenny Easley. Mel Renfro was on the wrong position, and had a picture taken with d-backs guys. Ron Yary buys Maverine's self written book at Barnes and Noble, and hasn't seen Maverine since three years. Maverine and Marla talks about flashbacks from 1980-1999. The next day, Maverine escorted Billy Shaw and Marla escorted Mel. Bryant reflects the loss of Colby, and the girls were having fun with Tom Mack, Bob Lilly and Paul Krause. In the outro, Buddy and Len Dawson were dedicated.

Eight Years Ago: Marty and Brother Killed

On Sept. 3, 2014, Marty Reeves, Marla's first husband and his brother Roger were supposed to see Drew Pearson at his house, when suddenly a drunk driver smashes Marty's car, the driver was arrested, and Marty and Roger were killed. The next day, Harlan Kyle Walter, Jody's son was born six days after his step cousin Colter was born. This was Marty's last grandchild while he's alive.
