Marla Collapses During Fitness; Ross Chastain Visits at the Hospital

Yesterday evening, Marla collapsed while watching baseball at the fitness club with her North Carolina friends, including her cousin Cyndy. Marla was visiting Jeff Burton at the time. Marla is currently at the hospital in Charlotte, and early this morning, Ross Chastain visited his father's favorite singer Marla at the same hospital. Her husband Kyle was also there. Marla will turn 68 in June.

Marla and Jeff sang the only verse in a gospel finale. Marty Raybon and Ralph Ezell had the ending role.

Kyle Busch Passes; Natalee's New Dog

This afternoon, Kyle Busch has officially passed away after severe illnesses six days after he won at Dover in a truck race. He is survived by his brother Kurt, wife Samantha, and two children Brexton and Lennix. Kyle turned 41 19 days ago. Natalee and her husband Rich had a dog by the name of Charlsie, which is not in honor of her son Charlie. Charlsie is a girl dog.

Jeff Burton in the Hall

In addition to Kevin Harvick and Larry Phillips, Jeff Burton is in the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2027. This afternoon, Jeff called his dear and good friend Marla about having a big time and his honor. Jeff will be 59 next month. Marla claims that afternoon that Chuck Howley will be 90 a day before Jeff's birthday. After five attempts, Jeff finally made it.

Shandon Meets Dystany

Marla's 25-year-old great-niece Shandon Medders was ready to race with a 34-year-old black racer from Virginia named Dystany Spurlock. Dystany races motorcycles previously, and Shandon was the neighbor of Tracy Leslie as a child. A few weeks ago, they paired for the first time before Dystany made history in Dover for the truck race won by Kyle Busch.

One Month Ago: John Fitzgerald's Obituary

John Fitzgerald passed away surrounded by family on April 14, 2026, two days shy of his 78th birthday. John was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be dearly missed by his family and friends. During the last 21 years, John beat lung cancer twice and fought multiple ailments. John was born on April 16, 1948, to Donald and Muriel Fitzgerald in Southbridge, Massachusetts. John played football at Southbridge High School where he met the love of his life - Sue Bachand - in Geometry class. John received a scholarship to play football at Boston College. Sue and John were married on May 30, 1970. John is a member of the Southbridge High School Hall of Fame and The Boston College Hall of Fame. The Dallas Cowboys drafted John in the fourth round of the 1970 NFL Draft. He was fortunate to be with the team during 12 winning seasons. John was on the taxi squad his first year during Super Bowl V and a backup for Super Bowl VI. He was the starting center for Super B...
