Flashback: Meet Lane Ayers

In 1981, after hiring 18-year-old model Lorrie Owens from Plano, Marla was proud to have her visiting at her house. There she saw Lane Ayers, the newest country singer from Allen. He has a cousin named John Ayers, who played for the 49ers. Lane dated Meladie Mitchell, the Dallas Cowboys cheerleader until their split in 1982. In January 1986, Lane was involved in a car accident, and he succumbed from injuries three months later on Apr. 23. He was 24 years old.

Flashback: Marla Reunites With Kyle Davis

It was February 17, 2026, a month after Scott Laidlaw died, Kyle Davis went to Marla's house for a memorial service for Scott, and she hasn't seen Kyle in 50 years. Kyle was a good center, according to Marla. Kyle did not attend the game alongside Herb Scott two months prior. Marla was totally shocked as Kyle had his new looks with a goatee and nearly went bald. Marla's husband Kyle, who was nine years younger than Kyle, finally visited him. Percy Howard and Pat Donovan were having the eulogies of Scott as Marla was with her grandson J.D., granddaughter-in-law Ronni, and J.D.'s brother Colter. Baby Maize is with J.D.'s dad and Marla's son Faron. All 10 of the 1975 rookies sang with Marla called "Amazing Grace" as Bob Breunig had a brief solo in the first verse. Previously in 2025, Marla also held a memorial for Mitch Hoopes five years after he passed away.

Short Film: No Time To Look For Men (1976)

This short film is Marla's finest hour after the first one was in 1976 called "Right Out of Their Minds." Now in "No Time To Look For Men," Marla was ready with the Cowboys players. It all started in Brownsville, Texas, near the Mexico line, five offensive lineman John Fitzgerald, Blaine Nye, Ralph Neely, Rayfield Wright and Pat Donovan were playing poker as Herb Scott had a Scottish clothes. Marla said, "Herb, this is Brownsville, Texas, wear some of those Mexican clothes." Cliff Harris reads that Kris Kristofferson has a hometown of Brownsville. Marla was sitting on the couch next to Tom Rafferty. Herb had the right clothing, and Efren Herrera saw them with his boxers. The next morning, after having breakfast, Ralph saw Marla brushing her hair after she brushed her teeth. The other four O-linemen had an argument about Marla's personal looks. Ralph and Marla were dancing into the song called "I Met A Friend of Yours Today" by Mel Street....
