It all started in the 1960s, where Bruce Bellamy and Steve Weller were doing things, but Bruce's mother and father kicks Bruce's girlfriend out. Months later, Bruce and Steve paired with Rick Garrison and Lonnie Burton, and they recorded their first hit, that reached #1 on the charts (real life, Diamond Rio were the first group to have a debut single that goes to #1 in 1991).
In 1971, Lonnie left, and Greg Buckner replaced him. Rick left, and Don Randolph joined in 1974. A year later, Rodney Garrison, Rick's brother replaces Don. That same year, they opened a restaurant, and closed down in 1984. Grady Baxter joined in 1977, Larry Carter in 1980, and Joel Freeman in 1981. Gary Jennings replaces Larry, and Larry rejoined after Gary quits.
Steve, Bruce, Larry and Joel were killed of the plane crash on New Year's Day 2000 before headed to Dallas for a show.
