Happy Birthday Colter

Happy 8th birthday to Colter Reeves. He was a big brother of little Boone. His dad Faron did a great job being a coach, and Colter likes it. He was born five days before his grandfather was killed of a car accident.

Happy Birthday Randy

Happy 44th birthday to Cheyenne's husband Randy Whitley, he was a dad of 6 boys and a girl, but three boys dead in 2 years.

Season 1, Episode 14: Two Boys Killed

On Saturday, in Bismarck, Cheyenne's son River finally got their driver's permit a day before their 16th birthday. On Sunday, the boys went to the church, and a hour later, River got his borrowed car from a friend of cousins L.D. and Trey's dad Kyle Jr., Cheyenne's brother. River was driving for the only time, the brakes got lost, and crashes just miles before the city limits sign. Trey had survived the wreck, and L.D., River went to hospital and dies instantly. River turned 16, and L.D. was 15. Kyle Jr., and Cheyenne were very shocking about their sons' death. One man Terrance Lonefight saw the wreck, and outside of the hospital, Terrance was grieving with Junior and Cheyenne. Meanwhile, Marla and Kyle were in Texas to grieve the news of his two grandsons' death. Marla called her nephew Jody about his dad Duane's birthday. Marla on Len Dawson

Marla loses her friend and broadcaster Len Dawson. He went to the hospice care because of poor health on Aug. 12. Len and Don Maynard were the two 1987 Hall of Famers died this year, other three died before that, and the other two were still surviving. Len had a cameo with Don, Gene Upshaw, Jim Langer and Larry Csonka in MMQ's music video "Already Gone." Len also had a role with Willie Lanier, now 77, and Jim Lynch, who died a month ago in "Marla's Game." Len is survived by his second wife Linda, and his two children Lisa and Leonard Jr. from first marriage.

Playing Around After Luncheon?

In August, Maverine and Marla were attending the Ray Nitschke Luncheon. Funny stuff: Willie Roaf was photo bombing while having the wide receiver photos. Wrong stuff: Mel Renfro (in wheelchair) was on the running back section, Marla told him to be on the defensive back section for a photo shoot. Missing stuff: Ron Yary was at the restroom feeling exhausted, and he supposed to be on the offensive linemen photos. The new episode will be after Marla's step grandsons' death in the different episode.

Season 1, Episode 13: Marla in Las Vegas

Marla hired two more men Keith Jordan and Kyle McBride after Harris and Brent decided to leave for working hard. In Las Vegas, Marla, Keith, Kyle, Micah and Ethan were having fun for the draft. They usually met Wayne Newton and Donny Osmond. Marla said Tyler Smith was a few days younger than her grandson Lincoln, and selected for the Dallas Cowboys. She called recently hall of famer Drew Pearson about Tyler. Lewis Cine picks for the Vikings. The next day, Marla called Maverine as her "god children" Zoey and Ezekiel Lindahl, Wally Hilgenberg's adopted grandchildren were there as well after getting home from school. All of them said "read" as Ed Marinaro picks Andrew Booth. Marla said that Ed needs to have a shorter speech, not longer. Ed is also Maverine's ex-boyfriend. That same night, Ed dubs James Brown with the song "Please Please Please" with Donny, Marla and model Kendyll D'Andrea. Marla on Calvin Hill's Wife

Janet Hill, the wife of Calvin Hill, and the mother of Grant Hill, died on Aug. 13. She was the only child like Calvin, and Grant, too. Marla said that they had the "Only Child Syndrome," like Roger Staubach and Roger Wehrli. Marla and Janet were close friends. In addition to Calvin and Grant, she has survived by two granddaughters. Four days later, Calvin and Grant came at Marla's house while having her twin grandsons' birthday.

Happy Birthday Brendan and Riley

Happy 6th birthday to twins Brendan and Riley Reeves. Brendan is a normal boy, and Riley has autism and epilepsy.

Happy Birthday Axyl

Happy 9th birthday to Axyl Walter, Jody's first son. Axyl is one year younger than now 10 year old sister Ellie.

Happy Birthday Ellie

Happy 10th birthday to Ellie Walter, Jody's second daughter. Ellie is one year older than now 9 year old brother Axyl.

Faron and Lorrie in Louisiana

Faron and Lorrie went to Louisiana for a visit. They visit Caleb Allen and his wife Steffanie and their six children, including twin boys. Their newest daughter Zaria was born with a cleft lip. Faron advices them to stop having kids. They also visit Jase Robertson, his wife and daughter Mia who was also born with a cleft lip. Faron and Lorrie will participate in the March of Dimes foundation for preemies and cleft lip patients. They also went to Napoleonville for a speech, and sees the grave of Roy Winston, who died this year.

Happy Birthday Harper

 Happy 10th birthday to Harper Walter, Matt's oldest daughter. She is the big sister of Caedance.

Season 1, Episode 12: Marla in Iowa

Marla had an helicopter to fly to Davenport, Iowa, got a rental car in which her sister in law Patsy gave it to her, and drove to Wilton for a visit. Darrin Maurer and Monica Laucamp were happy to visit Marla, and went to the Candy Kitchen. Marla sees the picture of her best friend Maverine, her friend Wally Hilgenberg and his two siblings Donna and Jerry right after their dad's funeral. Marla said this photo was taken a month before Maverine's dad's death. Darrin remembers Marla with a little known story about Wally's last trip to his grandson's football game. Monica remembers her at the concert after Monica's uncle Joel was killed. Days later, she went to Ames, her hometown, for a memorial of her brother Arlie. Marla remembers her brother as a swiftest guy. The next day, she flies back to Texas for Rayfield Wright's memorial.

Season 1, Episode 11: Rayfield's Gone

On Apr. 5, Maverine had a phone call from Kriss Sutherland, Doug's wife. She said that Doug has passed away. Maverine said that he died on Grady Alderman's fourth anniversary of his death. Doug was Maverine's "birthday friend." Two days later, Marla was at Tony Dorsett's house, celebrating his birthday, her cell phone came, it was Di Brown-Wright, Rayfield's wife, she said that Rayfield has passed away. When she arrived home, she told Kyle about it. One day later, Marla was with several Cowboys friends about praying for Rayfield. Rayfield was there as of Ralph Neely's death three months prior. Mel Renfro had used a wheel walker. John Fitzgerald uses a cane. Rayfield is survived by Di, his four children LaRay, Anitra, Larry and Ariel, and a stepdaughter Courtney. Marla really misses Rayfield Wright.

Marla on Buddy Arrington

Buddy Arrington has passed away exactly one week after his 84th birthday on Aug. 2. Marla first met Buddy in the mid '70s, and she attended some of the Talladega races before she goes on tour. She even wears his shirt at the pre race concert in July 1985. She attended for Buddy in Talladega that same month. That's when she even sees Terry Labonte shaving his mustache.

Happy Birthday Maverine

Happy birthday to Marla's best friend Maverine Michael, 64. She is two months younger than Marla. Maverine held a celebration of life of Doug Sutherland today at her home in Lakeville, and it's also his birthday. His sister Nancy, wife Kriss, three daughters, four grandsons and a granddaughter will be there as did other Vikings members. The last time Maverine held a celebration of life of Milt Sunde was on May 22, 2020, a month after his death. Maverine held a birthday two times in 1992 and 1998 in Canton, Ohio. Marla was also there in 1998.
