Happy Birthday Garrison

Happy 7th birthday to Garrison Boone. He is the big brother of Everly Lynn Boone, born last November.

1990 Episode 4: April

The funeral was held for their father, and Alan Jackson sang "Here in the Real World," with Gene Autry's movie clips. Ryan White, 18 was dead, and the girls were upset. The girls thinks Ricky Skaggs had "Hummingbird." Greta Garbo also died, and the girls watched Camille. Clint Black was on the spot on TV when the interviewer told Clint to climb higher like his first three songs.

Ethan and Cheyenne Weds

Ethan Reeves and Cheyenne Reid Reeves were married in a civil ceremony in Fort Pierce, Florida on Saturday (Jan. 27). It was Ethan's second marriage, and Cheyenne's first. He lost his first wife Lily after the SWAT team shot her. Ethan's sister Whitley is a flower girl, and brother Cole is a ring bearer. Ethan's grandmother Marla was relieved on her grandson's second marriage, and the honeymoon is later on.

Jacob Lost Appeal; Driver's Wife Dies

Jacob Reeves had lost the appeal, and is still in jailed for misdemeanor and assaulted driver Mike Wallace. Sadly, Mike's wife Carla passed away on Jan. 22, she was the mother of 4, and the grandmother of 4. Chrissy, the couple's daughter said she dated Jacob before he assaulted her dad. Jacob's son Benny is still fostered by his cousin Faron and his wife Lorrie.

Happy 2nd birthday to Brooks Boone. He is the big brother of Everly Lynn Boone, born last November.

1990 Episode 3: March

The girls said that before two months ago about Paul Overstreet's song "Seein' My Father in Me," but their father had cancer. Newcomer Doug Stone had his first song, and Clint Black had his fourth single. Melanie was upset when Hank Gathers died, and Marla Medders was on tour with Restless Heart, and Greg Jennings, the guitarist holds her tight. The girls saw the drummer of Highway 101, Cactus Moser on TV, and Larry Boone, who just had a new song. At the end of March, their father died.

Wally's Brother Jerry Dies

Maverine suffers a loss this year when Wally Hilgenberg's brother Jerry passed away around early this week at age 92. He lost his older sister Donna in 2000, and Wally in 2008. Maverine met Jerry at his dad's funeral in 1980. Jerry's two of three sons played in the pros, one of them, Jay is a Super Bowl champ for the Bears and played with his uncle's teammate Alan Page in his rookie year, and Alan's last year. Maverine's picture is at the Candy Kitchen.

Flashback: Vikings Cheerleaders in Marla's Comedy Show

In 1994, The Marla Comedy Show airs a show about 22 Minnesota Vikings cheerleaders who cheered for Tracy Leslie. The cheerleaders' last names were withheld in the Sideliners Pro cards. 20 Boy Cousins Visit Marla

Marla met 20 guys, who were cousins at the concert in 1975. The 10 brothers had 10 sets of two sons, and brothers were Abraham, Bruce, Chuck, David, Eddie, Frank, George, Howard, Ira and John. Abraham has 2 sons, Grady Howard (May 7, 1937-Jan. 15, 2013) and Perry Allen (Dec. 25, 1938-Sept. 6, 2017). Bruce has 2 sons, Faron Bruce (June 4, 1937-Oct. 14, 2006) and Steven Thomas (Mar. 10, 1939-Feb. 21, 2004). Chuck has 2 sons, William Marvin "Bill" (June 18, 1937) and Charles Thomas Jr. (May 5, 1939-July 17, 2021). David has 2 sons, Carl Allen (July 22, 1937-Feb. 16, 2023) and Rodney Ray (July 14, 1939-Mar. 24, 2013). Eddie has 2 sons, Bernard Scott (Sept. 17, 1937-Feb. 21, 2006) and Sterling Thomas (Sept. 8, 1939-Nov. 28, 2021). Frank has 2 sons, Michael Bruce (Dec. 24, 1937-Aug. 24, 2012) and Terrance Patrick (Nov. 3, 1939-Jan. 1, 2000). Kyle Jr. is a Grandpa

Kyle Walter Jr. and his wife Christen are the grandparents for the first time when their son Trey and his girlfriend Sylvia welcomes their first child, a baby boy, Gatlin Jennings Walter born yesterday at 6:47 am. Kyle Sr. is the great-grandfather.

1990 Episode 2: February

The sisters were watching Ricky Van Shelton singing the Jack Greene song "Statue of a Fool," then Eddie's "On Second Thought," and the Oak Ridge Boys' "No Matter How High." The death of Del Shannon was horrible for the girls, and the Glaser Brothers had a last reunion. Another news, AIDS victim Keith Haring, 31, dies. The girls hits big as they danced into "Dumas Walker" by the Kentucky Headhunters.

Marla Writes New Book

Marla has written a new book called "Marla: Hot Shot Woman" to be released on June 3, a day before her birthday. Her previous book was with Maverine Michael, her best friend of 50 years, called "The Portrait of Friends."

1990 Episode 1: January

Lynn Streeter (Cheyenne Reid) was the true hard worker. Her triplet sisters Melissa, Melanie and Melinda (Kendall Winebrenner, Leslie Cunningham and Ashlyn Meldrum) were assistants. Lynn was the all time football fan. The 49ers were her favorites. They asked about Gilligan's Island show. At the bar, the ladies heard "She's Got a Man on Her Mind" by Curtis Wright, and Lynn played the jukebox of Marsha Thornton's "Bottle of Wine and Patsy Cline." On Jan. 6, Paul Overstreet's "Seein' My Father in Me" had its debut, and the music videos had fathers and sons, or grandsons that is. Melinda thought "Ice Station Zebra" had all male characters, but "The Women" had all female characters. Melanie said Keith Whitley died in May of last year, and the music video "It Ain't Nothin'" features from his childhood to his adult life. Melissa was watching "Robin Hood" where Terry-Thomas played Hiss the snake.

Glynis Johns Dies

Glynis Johns, a British actress who appeared in "Mary Poppins" as the children's mother, died yesterday at age 100. Her final film was 1999's "Superstar" as a grandmother. Marla remembers Glynis as a wonderful woman. Janis Paige is still living at 101.

Minnesota Backyard Kids Series

In 1979, when Sha Sha Na aired, the Minnesota Backyard Kids series has been started, it was about 50 minutes for them, but Sha Na Na has 22 minutes. The kids were ten teens, Mark Bakke, Matt Bautch, Cleve Bonngard, Randy Cota, Mary Gradine, Denny Lentz, Dave Marsh, Bruce McRae, Johnny Pofahl and Rick Sias, and six young kids, Joel Coler, Michelle House, Brent Spies, Lynn Davis, Amy Jacobsen and Scotty Huls.
