Short Film: The Sweetest Moment (1979)
In December 1979, the short movie was released, and it was a remake of Our Gang's "Baby Blues." Marla and John Fitzgerald played the parents of four.
It was after work, John was very excited to see Marla, who was pregnant with their fourth child. Melba, Marty and Mysti were the three children. The same three were Marla's real nieces and nephew. After Melba and Marty were taking a bath, Mysti was the last one to do so, and John was in his tank top. After Melba and Marty said a prayer, Mysti went to her crib, and John and Marla sang "Baby Face."
The next afternoon during lunch break, John told the boss to have lunch with his friends, who were played by Jim Cooper, Pat Donovan and Tom Rafferty. They were with the Chinese American man for a little conversation. After work, Marla has a note about heading to the hospital. Marla's brother, who was played by her brother Harold, who was Marty's dad in real life, told John that Marla already had a baby, and Marla reveals it's a girl named Melinda. Marty was overwhelmed by having a little sister.
A few days later, John and Marla were happy to have Melinda, and the other three kids were also happy. That night, John and Marla were laying in bed, and Melba and Marty had one more prayer before the end.
