Marla's Fan Moments: Kathy Lynn From Indiana

In 1989, while touring in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Marla met 18-year-old Kathy Lynn Scales from Evansville, Indiana, and she was a Vikings fan. Her favorite football star was Scott Studwell, and she dated Carl Miskotten III, who passed away on Marla's 40th birthday in 1998. Kathy Lynn's favorite racers were Rusty Wallace and Tracy Leslie. She was one day older than Jeff Gordon. Kathy Lynn told Marla about heading to Xenia, Ohio with her family and she and Tracy were in this picture. Bob Strait won the race.

In 1991, Kathy Lynn reunited with Tracy at Myrtle Beach where his engine blew up and Chuck Bown won the race. She even got Tracy's t-shirt after that. In 1993, Kathy Lynn attended again as Tracy won the race at IRP. Kathy Lynn usually attends the concert for Marla and Shelly Walther. Two months later, Kathy Lynn was arrested for running around at Marla and her son Faron's concert in Ocala, Florida, and was not jailed at the time. She eventually moved to Daytona Beach to be with Carl until his death.

In 1997, Kathy Lynn reunited with Tracy before he finished 5th in Daytona Beach. She went to Tampa for the concert of Tracy Byrd and Tracy Lawrence where the Medders Cousins usually attend. Faron and Kathy Lynn were having an apology before the concert. The last time Kathy Lynn saw Tracy was in 1999 at Michigan where David Keith of Kentucky won the race. She told him about Carl's death, and eventually Faron. Kathy Lynn lives in Chandler, Indiana.

The Marla Comedy Show 1993-1998

The Marla Comedy Show is a sitcom show that ran from 1993-1998. It premiered in Nov. 20, two months before the Statler Brothers Show had the third season. Marla played Marla Boone, a hard working mother of Reid (Reid Jones) and Cheyenne (Cheyenne Langston), and a wife of Tracy, who was played by Tracy Leslie. Jeff and Ward Burton played Marla's brothers from the first season. Joe Bessey, who was a main and recurring member, Chuck Bown, Rodney Combs and Elton Sawyer played as Tracy's brothers. Patty Moise is Elton's wife same as real life in the last three seasons. Hermie Sadler played as a neighbor who is a single father of a Down Syndrome boy as is Tim Fedewa, Dennis Setzer, and Jason Keller. Joe Diffie's son Tyler played Hermie's son Brandon. In 1985, Marla's group MMQ went to Daytona Beach for a concert a day before the race. It was live on a local TV channel.
