Flashback: Rowdy For Faron and the Guys

On Feb. 26, 1993, Faron was with Joe Bessey talking to Davey Allison as the Burton brothers, Jeff and Ward played Mountain's "Mississippi Queen" on the jukebox.

As Joe failed in Richmond the next week, Faron was sitting outside next to Michael Ritch, who was 20 years old. The brothers play the same song, and Mike Wallace starts to fight with the boys. Tracy Leslie got Ward, and Tom Peck got Jeff, they were escorted out.

On May 8, before the start in Martinsville, Faron and Joe were talking with Todd Bodine and his now ex-wife Lynn, and Roger Sawyer puts a quarter on the jukebox and played "Mannish Boy" by Muddy Waters. Roger is Elton's younger brother. Tracy and Tom were one table next to them. Roger only has a start here and Ward won the race.

On Nov. 6, in Hickory, North Carolina, as Joe failed one more time, Faron sings Paranoid by Black Sabbath before one guy Johnny Rumley said after the song was over, "That ain't no Hank Williams song." Rumley won the race.
