Flashback: May 1993

On May 28, 1993, Tracy Leslie had his first pole, and Marla and her son Faron were there at Charlotte, and Joe Bessey failed to make it. Tracy told Marla it was his mother's birthday, and she also told him that her cousin Don Calhoun passed away six days prior. Don played with Tony Joe White way back. At the restaurant before the race, Tracy and Marla were dancing into the song, "In My Own Backyard" by Joe Diffie, which was unreleased until 1994.

The next day, Tracy had the engine problem, and Michael Waltrip won the race. After it was over, Ray Pillow called Marla about the good and bad days, and Woody Wright of Matthews Wright and King switched the call. Tony King splits with Wynonna, and Raymond Matthews was okay with it. Exactly a week later, Conway Twitty passed away.
