Marla Interviews Randy About Micah

Last month on June 26, Marla had interviewed her nephew Randy who was living in Algonac, Michigan the same as Micah. He was living next door to Tracy Leslie and his wife Patricia. Randy's wife Jennifer was also on hand. Randy said about having fun with Micah until Micah passed away on Jan. 22.

Flashback: Shelly and Friends in 1993

In 1993, after the death of Conway Twitty, George Jones had a concert with Shelly Walther, who named Conway's replacement. George thanks Shelly for the song "Writin' on the Wall" whom she and George sang separately in 1989. Shelly sings "The Garden" for a 100-year-old fan named Adelia from Alabama. Drivers Mike Wallace, Jeff and Ward Burton, Joe Bessey, Tracy Leslie, David Green, Ricky Craven, Chuck Bown, Shawna Robinson and Joe Nemechek attends the show.

Flashback: Marla and Clifford in Nashville

In July 1992, after competing in his last race at Talladega, Clifford Allison hangs out with Marla in her plane and rides to Nashville. Clifford meets the Four Guys and Ray Pillow before their performance, and Marla has two shows with hosts Grandpa Jones and Roy Acuff. Marla talks about Justin Tubb who got sick, and she sang with Jeannie Seely in the first show. Marla and Clifford spent the night after the show was over. The next day at Talladega, Marla and Clifford were there to support his big brother Davey, who was injured at the Pocono race. A few weeks later, Clifford passed away from the practice accident in Michigan.

Update: New Music Video Has Million Views

This morning, the new music video for Cheyenne Langston and Harrison Burton has a million viewers on Youtube. Marla was so happy that the video went viral. The Marla Comedy Movie Will Released On Jan. 2

The Marla Comedy Movie will be in theaters on Jan. 2, and Marla, Elton Sawyer, Patty Moise, Jeff and Ward Burton will be on the starring role as did Reid Jones and Cheyenne Langston. Cheyenne recorded a song with Harrison Burton in the remake of "I'm the Only Thing (I'll Hold Against You)." Jeff didn't know he saw Harrison singing with Cheyenne for the first time, and Kim was very proud of him. The music video was uploaded this morning.

Flashback: The Medders Mania? 1997

On Nov. 8, 1997, Faron and his cousins, Randy, Dwight, Micah and Justin performed in Homestead, Florida a day before the race. That same day, Ward Burton had a phone call from Faron and said that his wife Tabitha's cousin Christina died of cancer at age 12, and the cousins performed a song about Christina's cancer. Fifteen teenage girls were escorted out on stage and were arrested.

Micah Medders Dies At Age 45

Six months ago, Marla announced her nephew Micah Medders' death of a heart attack on Jan. 22 of this year while welding a car for a friend of Billy Leslie, who is the son of Tracy Leslie. He was 45 years old. Micah was living in Algonac at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife Angela and two children. Micah was playing bass in his band with his cousins Faron, Randy, Dwight and Justin, and his dad is Duane, who died the same day as Bill Brown, the Vikings running back in 2018.

For the 4th Time, Shane Did It Again

Shane van Gisbergen wins again for the fourth time, and third this year in Sonoma today. Marla was so relieved that Shane wins again, and her daughter-in-law Lorrie was in Sonoma. Lorrie was wearing the Davey Allison t-shirt at the time.

Flashback: Reuniting With Tracy

On June 25, 1999, Faron turned 17 as his girlfriend, now wife Lorrie, who was the model for the power team, took him to Toledo, Ohio for the ARCA race. Faron wants to have a prank for his mother, Marla. She arrived by plane all by herself. Lorrie uses the red sheet to see Tracy Leslie, but he has a goatee. Marla last saw him since last September at Richmond where Marla had heat exhaustion. The next day was in DeGraff where he won a pole and finished 12th. On Oct. 16, Marla and Tracy were interviewed in the pre-race by Shelly Walther, and Tracy said that his father passed away two days prior, and Marla had celebrated D.D. Lewis' birthday. Tracy went on to have two wins in Winchester that same year, and Salem the next year. In 2001, after Tracy had a last start on Faron's sister Natalee's 17th birthday, Marla last saw Tracy who failed to qualify in Berlin. They did not see each other again since 2001.

Flashback: Sheena With the Krogh Brothers

In June 1994, Sheena Eller was living in Kamiah, Idaho after her college graduation, she was living next door to Robert Krogh and his wife. Their two sons, Jeff and Mark were supposed to be racers. Sheena asked Robert that he believes in racing. Jeff's first race was in Portland two months later. Mark followed the next year. Two years later, Jeff failed in Rockingham while Mark had his first start, the next week was in Richmond where Jeff had his first start. Mark had finished 8th twice in two years, and Jeff, 5th in Texas in 1998. Sheena and the Kroghs were profiled for the Rockingham race in February 1998 for Shelly Walther's show "WIN" replacing Rusty Wallace. In 1999, the Kroghs had enough with Sheena for three months. Sheena now lives in Idaho as a nurse.

Flashback: Marla in Nazareth

It was a bye week for the Winston Cup series on May 9, 1992 as Marla went to Nazareth, Pennsylvania with Shelly Walther. The Busch Series stars decided to wrestle with the North stars after qualifying as Kenny Wallace had a pole. Kenny Wallace vs. Dick McCabe Joe Nemechek vs. Billy Clark Jeff Gordon vs. Jamie Aube Steve Grissom vs. Tony Hirschman Robert Pressley vs. Joe Bessey Bobby Labonte vs. Jeff Barry Ward Burton vs. Jeff Spraker Butch Miller vs. Mike McLaughlin Tracy Leslie vs. Glenn Sullivan The 19th and 20th drivers, Todd Bodine and Chuck Bown were disqualified, and canceled the wrestling match before the drivers meeting. The rule clearly states that two series need to fight. Bodine is the winner.

Shane Does It Again

Shane van Gisbergen won in Chicago again today, and this was his 3rd win. A day prior, he won the Xfinity race at the same race track. Lorrie Brooks Reeves confirms that her mother-in-law Marla was thrilled to watch Shane win on TV. Nice job by British woman Katherine Legge finishing 19th.

Flashback: February 1994

On Feb. 18, 1994, after the deaths of Neil Bonnett and Rodney Orr, Faron performed his solo concert with Michelle Wright in attendance in Florida. Faron performs seven songs, including "Southbound" which was later covered by Sammy Kershaw, Mel Street's "If I Had a Cheatin' Heart," and Conway Twitty's "I'm the Only Thing," with a duet with model Karen Lynn Marshall, who dated Joe Bessey since Christmas 1993. Karen and Joe have been split up two years later.

Flashback: May 1993

On May 28, 1993, Tracy Leslie had his first pole, and Marla and her son Faron were there at Charlotte, and Joe Bessey failed to make it. Tracy told Marla it was his mother's birthday, and she also told him that her cousin Don Calhoun passed away six days prior. Don played with Tony Joe White way back. At the restaurant before the race, Tracy and Marla were dancing into the song, "In My Own Backyard" by Joe Diffie, which was unreleased until 1994. The next day, Tracy had the engine problem, and Michael Waltrip won the race. After it was over, Ray Pillow called Marla about the good and bad days, and Woody Wright of Matthews Wright and King switched the call. Tony King splits with Wynonna, and Raymond Matthews was okay with it. Exactly a week later, Conway Twitty passed away.

Shelly's 1993 NASCAR Show

In 1993, Shelly Walther hosted a NASCAR show called "Shelly's NASCAR Life." Thirty episodes had been aired. 1. Dale Jarrett, Jeff Burton, Mike Wallace Dale on his win at Daytona, Jeff on his disqualification in Dublin and Mike on his oldest child's death. 2. Rusty Wallace, Ernie Irvan, Ward Burton Rusty on his win at Rockingham and Ward on last year's win and birth of a son. 3. Davey Allison, Tom Peck, Neil Bonnett and Ken Schrader Davey on his win at Richmond. 4. Morgan Shepherd and Robert Pressley Morgan on his win at Atlanta. 5. Dave Marcis, Mark Martin and Jimmy Hensley Jimmy on last year's rookie of the year. 6. Alan Kulwicki's death All drivers talked about Alan Kulwicki's death and was profiled. 7. Brett Bodine, Ricky Rudd and Butch Miller Brett on his three year win. 8. Flashback: Faron and Cousins' More Music Videos

In 1997, after "Lawyers, Guns and Money," Faron and his cousins, Randy, Micah, Justin and Dwight had two more music videos, a cover of Joe Diffie's "Whole Lotta Gone," and "Making My Day" with a cameo appearance by Tracy Leslie. The boys had one more music video in 1998, "Going With a Flow," and disband the group in January 1999.

Rachel's Music Videos 1990

In 1990, Rachel Waller, who played Tonta in the Marla Comedy Show has two music videos from her 1990 self-titled album, "Busy in Love" and "Today My World Slipped Away." Her last music video was the remake of Vern Gosdin's 1982 song, but covered by George Strait in 1997. Marty Reeves on background vocals, and Ward Burton had a cameo of the music video. Rachel died on Feb. 19, 2024.

Flashback: Margaret Remembers the Kibrick Brothers

In 1934, Marla's mom Margaret first met the Kibrick Brothers through her brothers Lonnie and Johnny. Leonard and Sidney were four years apart. Their sister Lillian isn't acting, and they are Jewish. Margaret's mom Erlie told the four boys, "Boys, don't be a bully, let's be friends for a while." Lonnie was two months older than Leonard, and Sidney was 8 days older than Johnny. They last paired in 1942 when Lonnie graduates from high school like Leonard. Lonnie and Leonard served in WWII, Sidney and Johnny did not because they're too young. Margaret crushes Leonard most of the time before his graduation. She returned to North Carolina in June 1946 after her mother had tuberculosis and died. She later graduated in high school eleven months later, and married her husband Lonnie Medders in September 1948. Leonard married Nancy a month before and they had a daughter Gail. Reid and Cheyenne To Co-Authored A Picture Book Due in October

Much like the Simpsons family tree, Reid Jones and Cheyenne Langston will co-authored a Marla Comedy Show Picture Book due on Oct. 10. Cheyenne reveals it was Dale Jr.'s birthday the same day as the book's due date. Some character life has been made, but not real.

Baby Names For Septs

Last June, Trey and Sylvia were expecting septuplets, six boys and a girl. Here's the names of the Septs. Kyle Garrett IV: Trey said that the nickname will be Garrett, because his middle name is Garrett, his dad is Garrett and grandfather is Garrett. Graiden Michael: Sylvia said that Graiden is a cool name. Axton Hoyt: Trey said it was a rotation name for singer Hoyt Axton. Callen Jackson: Trey said it was rhymed with Alan Jackson. Taylor Vaughan: Sylvia said that Taylor is good. Oakley Wayne: The middle name is in honor of Wayne Osmond who passed away. Mirabelle Anniston: Sylvia said that both names were cool.
