Flashback: Marla and the Statlers' Movies Clips

In 1978, during her "Sinners and Saints" special. Marla had four movie clips in which the Statler Brothers had their favorites. First, in "It's a Wonderful Life," Harold Reid played George, Marla played Mary and Marla's niece Leslie played Zuzu. Lew DeWitt as Clarence, Phil Balsley as Billy, and Don Reid as Henry.

In "Giant," Phil played Bick, Marla played Leslie, Harold as Jett, Don as Bawley, and Lew as a friend. In "The Music Man" Don played Harold Hill, Harold as Marcellus, Marla as Marian, and Phil and Lew as church goers.

And "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," Marla played nurse Ratched, Lew as Cheswick, Phil as Taber, Don as Harding and Harold as Bancini. Marla's big brother Harold Medders played Randall McMurphy.

In the court house scene, Marla gave the boys the real names. Her favorite was Don said, "...Must be unanimous." Harold said, "What?" Lew said, "I second the motion." Marla said, "Lewis Calvin!" And Lew said, "Oh My God."
