Flashback: Lori's Show

In 1977, after her son Billy Ray's birth, Marla's sister-in-law Lori taped and aired her own comedy show called "The Lori Medders Show," and lasted two seasons.

The first season:
1. Merle Kilgore as her ex-boyfriend and Billy Walker as a friend.
2. Chet Atkins as a musician at the club, and Jeannie Seely as herself.
3. Jeannie C. Riley as herself and Bobby Bare as himself.
4. Hank Locklin and Jimmy C. Newman as themselves.
5. Bobby Bare and Tom T. Hall as themselves.
6. Dottie West as herself and Johnny Rodriguez as a neighbor.
7. Billy "Crash" Craddock and Larry Gatlin as Lori's older brothers.

The second season:
1. Roy Acuff as a neighbor and Merle Kilgore as her ex-boyfriend.
2. June Carter Cash played as an aunt and Ray Stevens as himself.
3. Porter Wagoner played as himself, and Harold Reid (of the Statler Brothers) and Marla Medders played as husband and wife. The wife is Lori's character's youngest sister. Marla confirms after Harold's death in 2020, "He played my husband in my sister-in-law's show, and it was his only solo acting appearance."
4. Mel Tillis played as a comedian and Carl Perkins as a singer.
5. Chet Atkins and Floyd Cramer played as musicians at the club, and Maverine Michael as a singer.
6. Cal Smith (not Carl according to Marty Robbins' bio book) and Jack Greene played as themselves.
7. Bill Anderson and Jeannie C. Riley as themselves.
8. The final episode and season in which Ray Stevens and Jerry Clower played as themselves.
