Gene Cronin Dies

Gene Cronin, the defensive end of the Detroit Lions, has died three days ago at age 90. Jerry Reichow and Bob Long were the two remaining survivors of the 1957 Lions championship, both at age 90. Gene is from Spalding, Nebraska like the Glaser Brothers, and moved to California after 1940. Lonnie remembers Gene as a great guy as he attended the Lions game without Marla, her mother and six brothers. Gene also played for the Cowboys in 1960.
