Marty and Lefty Episode 6: Some Memories Just Won't Die
In 1975, Marty and Coo Coo were talking about running for the Daytona 500, which was won by Benny Parsons. Two months later, Alice files for the divorced, and decided to finalized in August. Marlon is supposed to be graduating from high school. Three months later, Lefty is supposed to go to Delaware, and Lois came by. Lefty told Lois to get out. After midnight, Lefty got up, tries to put on the shirt, but the left side has paralyzed, and called Alice. While at ambulance, the right side is also paralyzed and collapsed. Lefty's parents, wife, children and grandson were there at the hospital. Marlon told his dad that he loves him. The replacement singer was Marla Medders who is now in Delaware. Before midnight, Lefty is dead.
In 1976, Janet dropped out of school, and Marty was devastated not to race. Marty sang the last #1 song, "Among My Souvenirs."
In 1982, Allen and David, Lefty's brothers were talking to Alice about her husband's hall of fame. They told her that AD, their mother is dead. In April, Naamon was upset about AD's death, and the boys were scared. Back to a few months later, Allen and his wife Shelly West had a baby girl Tess, who is Shelly's mother Dottie West's first grandchild, Alice was overreacted. The Country Music Hall of Fame president called Alice about Lefty's election.
Marty, Marizona, Ronny and Janet were there talking about having fun, and the same president called Marty about his election. In October, Lefty and Marty were in the Hall of Fame. Marty performed "Some Memories Just Won't Die." A month later in Atlanta, Marty had started 36th, talks to Rodney Combs before the race, and crashed. Another month later, Marty had one last heart attack, had surgery that afternoon, and six days later, Marty isn't feeling well, and Marizona prayed at the hospital chapel, and Janet confirms that her dad died.
Epilogue: Ronny is a singer, and Janet tries to be a singer as well. Marizona died in 2001. Alice died in 1984, Lois died in 2004, and Rickey and Marlon were the survivors.
