Jonah and Savannah Welcomes Third Child

At 12:03 am Oregon time this morning, Jonah and his wife Savannah welcomes their third child and first daughter Glynis Margaret. Randy Cross has just turned 70 today. Glynis is joined by Cas and Conway, who is now a year old yesterday.

Flashback: Meet the Pomeroy Twins

In 1976, Marla and Maverine met the Pomeroy twins, Lynn Marie and Gwynn Louise Pomeroy back in Talladega where Dave Marcis won the race. Lynn was married to Randy Nowland and he died in 1997, and Gwynn was married to Randy Spiers and he died in 2004. The girls were the best friends until the twins died of COVID 19 on Oct. 21, 2020, a week after Marla's friend Fred Dean's death of that same disease.

Quintuplet Stillborn

On the evening of April 19, Matt and Rhian had lost their quintuplet son Wyatt Oak of stillbirth, and four others, Walker, Waylon, Wheeler and Winston were still in the womb.

Maverine Loses Dickey Betts

Maverine had a picture on Facebook said that Dickey Betts passed away yesterday at age 80, and she was touring in Texas in the late 70s. His only son Duane saw Maverine's photo, and he said it was fantastic.

Marla and Maverine Show

Maverine and Marla had their own show which was now premiered on Feb. 6, 1988. The taping was the same week as Marla fired Russ Francis for waivers. 1. Marla and Kyle in Texas

Yesterday, on their seventh anniversary, Marla and Kyle went to Fort Worth, and Marla gave Dr. Phil a People Magazine of her granddaughter-in-law Cheyenne Reid from last month. Chase Elliott won the race, and Kyle almost had a heart attack. Marla's grandson Cole is also there. Good news is Dave Edmunds had just turned 80 today, and the bad news is Marla's friends' father passed away last Monday. Chase's win is dedicated to his ex-girlfriend Heather Lytle who died of a car crash last month with her three siblings.

Natalee to Released Country and Gospel Album

Natalee Reeves is slated to released her album from Gaither Gospel Series "Country and Gospel" to be due on July 5. Jeff Siemon, the former Minnesota Vikings linebacker will host for the DVD edition. Twelve songs, 6 country and 6 gospel.

Flashback: Marla Meets Regina Spratlin Claunch

In 1979, Marla toured in Alabama, and met Regina Spratlin Claunch and her husband John. She said she is the college mate of George Lindsey. Her husband John is a football player in Auburn same as Marla's boyfriend Dave Edwards. They had three children, two sons and a daughter and seven grandchildren until John's passing in 2021. Regina is in her 90s now.

Marla Misses Terry and Bobby's Dad

Marla had send the condolences to the Labonte family as Bob Labonte passed away on Monday at age 90. Here's the obituary: Mr. Robert “Bob” Wilfred Labonte, 90, resident of Trinity, died April 8, 2024, at his home. He was born July 5, 1933, in Rumford, Maine, a son to Wilfred and Helen Roy Labonte. After graduating from high school, he joined the United States Navy and was stationed in Corpus Christi, where he met his wife, Martha. Following his discharge from service after four years, he continued serving his country as a civilian employee at the naval air station. In 1979, he and his wife, moved to Trinity, North Carolina, where they’ve since remained. Upon moving to North Carolina, he worked in NASCAR supporting his sons and grandsons careers. Surviving is his wife, the former Martha Edna Wright, who survives of the residence; two sons, Terry Labonte (Kim) of Denton and Bobby Labonte (Kristin) of High Point; four grandchildren, Justin Labonte (Miranda), Kristy Garrett (Matt), Tyl...

Marla in the George Jones Show

In 1999, Marla was the guest in the final episode of the George Jones show alongside Tracy Byrd and Mark Chesnutt, both Texan. George performs the first song, "She Loved a Lot in Her Time." Marla, Tracy and Mark were interviewed with George talking about Texas. George remembers Vidor where he was raised, and had a amusement park before Tracy was born. Tracy performs "I'm From the Country." Marla talks about the beginning with her brothers, George has a song called "Wrongs What I Do Best" before Tracy sings the acoustic version of "Keeper of the Stars."
