Len and Don Maynard were the two 1987 Hall of Famers died this year, other three died before that, and the other two were still surviving. Len had a cameo with Don, Gene Upshaw, Jim Langer and Larry Csonka in MMQ's music video "Already Gone." Len is survived by his second wife Linda, and his two children Lisa and Leonard Jr. from first marriage.

Playing Around After Luncheon?

In August, Maverine and Marla were attending the Ray Nitschke Luncheon. Funny stuff: Willie Roaf was photo bombing while having the wide receiver photos. Wrong stuff: Mel Renfro (in wheelchair) was on the running back section, Marla told him to be on the defensive back section for a photo shoot. Missing stuff: Ron Yary was at the restroom feeling exhausted, and he supposed to be on the offensive linemen photos. The new episode will be after Marla's step grandsons' death in the different episode.

Marla on Calvin Hill's Wife

Janet Hill, the wife of Calvin Hill, and the mother of Grant Hill, died on Aug. 13. She was the only child like Calvin, and Grant, too. Marla said that they had the "Only Child Syndrome," like Roger Staubach and Roger Wehrli. Marla and Janet were close friends. In addition to Calvin and Grant, she has survived by two granddaughters. Four days later, Calvin and Grant came at Marla's house while having her twin grandsons' birthday.

Faron and Lorrie will participate in the March of Dimes foundation for preemies and cleft lip patients. They also went to Napoleonville for a speech, and sees the grave of Roy Winston, who died this year.

Marla on Buddy Arrington

Buddy Arrington has passed away exactly one week after his 84th birthday on Aug. 2. Marla first met Buddy in the mid '70s, and she attended some of the Talladega races before she goes on tour. She even wears his shirt at the pre race concert in July 1985. She attended for Buddy in Talladega that same month. That's when she even sees Terry Labonte shaving his mustache.

Happy Birthday Maverine

Happy birthday to Marla's best friend Maverine Michael, 64. She is two months younger than Marla. Maverine held a celebration of life of Doug Sutherland today at her home in Lakeville, and it's also his birthday. His sister Nancy, wife Kriss, three daughters, four grandsons and a granddaughter will be there as did other Vikings members. The last time Maverine held a celebration of life of Milt Sunde was on May 22, 2020, a month after his death. Maverine held a birthday two times in 1992 and 1998 in Canton, Ohio. Marla was also there in 1998.
