Flashback: Celebrity Race 1998

On Oct. 2, 1998, another celebrity race was held two days after Adam Petty won the race in Charlotte for ARCA. Rusty Wallace won the pole for the draw. 10 Busch and 10 Winston cup drivers, 2 ladies and two Medders cousins are competing for the race. Adam Medders was driving for Wally Dallenbach Jr. in his #50 Budweiser car, and Jeremy Medders in a #97 Chad Little car. Lynn Marie Peterson in a #90 Dick Trickle car, and Tabitha Welch in the #33 Ken Schrader car. Randy LaJoie had an accident in the first caution, and Robert Pressley's right shoulder is sore, and Tracy Leslie, who was not in the Winston and Busch rides, gets in relief. Marla Medders interviewed Robert after Tracy gets in. Before that, she interviewed Tracy. This is the last time Tracy was interviewed clean shaven before he had a goatee. The Rare Two Albums For the Marla Comedy Show Will Released On Dec. 5

Cheyenne Langston reveals before Shane van Gisbergen won the race in Charlotte that this will be having two rare albums for the Marla Comedy Show, a gospel album, and a Christmas album. John Wesley Ryles Passes

John Wesley Ryles, the session background vocalist passed away two days ago exactly a month before his 75th birthday. He was married to Conway Twitty's daughter Joni. His hits were "Kay" and "Once in a Lifetime Thing." One of his last hits, "Louisiana Rain" was covered by 15-year-old Denny Streeter in 1988, and John Wesley sang with Alan Jackson several times, and Faron Reeves in a song called "Yes Yes Nanette" with several NASCAR drivers as choir members.

Marla to Have a Commercial For Kidney People

Marla will have the commercial for kidney people in December including Lee Roy Jordan, D.D. Lewis, Harold Reid of the Statler Brothers and Keith Fahnhorst. Marla talks about the story of Phenix City, Alabama's Mike Frost, who had kidney disease and died almost 25 years later in 2019. Nick Mangold was also on the list.
